Instrument description
Meddins Diagnostic Explorer TYPE 5 is a one-sided diagnostic instrument for detecting caries and defects that may occur during tooth restoration. Also, the explorer is used to assess the surface condition of tooth rows and detect possible deposits on teeth.
⦁ The length of the tip is 14 mm.
⦁ The explorer has a small pointed tip in the working part. Thanks to this design, the instrument is best adapted to any surfaces of both the chewing and the central group of teeth.
⦁ The instrument is made of stainless steel, so it effectively resists corrosion processes and has high mechanical strength.
⦁ To increase manual control, the handle is made in the form of a cylindrical rod, which is securely fixed in the hand.
⦁ The ergonomic shape of the handles reduces the risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome.
⦁ Thanks to retention notches on the outer surface of the handle, the instrument does not slip in fingers.
⦁ The explorer weighs 25 g with a length of 141.8 mm and a diameter of 9,5 mm.
